You like to dance to fast swing music and you would like to do it like you have never done before? In any case, we are glad to introduce Collegiate Shag! The workshop on November 14-15 offers a wonderful opportunity to try out this dynamic and energetic partner dance originating from over-crowded dance halls of the swing era.
Arnas Razgūnas and Eglė Nemickaitė (Lithuania) guide participants through 6 Collegiate Shag lessons during two days and you can put your knowledge into practice already on Saturday at a dance evening in the Nõmme Cultural Center. Music for dancing is performed by the Horre Zeiger Bigband.
Registration is open until November 10 inclusive or until the dancehall fills up.
Arnas Razgūnas & Eglė Nemickaitė
Two beautiful dancers from Vilnius, the heart of Lithuanian Swing Dance scene. Partnered up from the very first dance Arnas & Eglė are dancing, performing, teaching and inspiring the community at hoppers’ dance studio studio everyday. Passion and joy for Lindy Hop & Collegiate Shag gained their name as international instructors in regular small workshops in local communities around Europe, specially in Poland, where they inspired Warsaw Collegiate Shag Festival. Rich experience in teaching every day classes grants quality and fun with clear explanation of their material by expressing swing music and yourself in it. Arnas is also a part of well-known swing DJ duo project Rhythm Lord Brothers.

- 13.30-15.00 lunch (at a place of your own choice)

Clothing:
It’s advisable to wear comfortable clothing that lets you move freely. Collegiate Shag includes body contact, therefore we ask you to avoid wearing low-necked or sleeveless clothes. If possible, choose shoes with slippery (leather) soles and comfortable heels.
Participation fee:
For participants registering before 31.10 the special fee is € 40 per person!
For participants registering from 01.11 to 10.11 the fee is € 45 per person.
Participation fee has to be paid within 5 days from receiving the registration confirmation. In case of signing up during the last days of the registration period, the fee has to be paid by November 11 at the latest. If the participation fee hasn’t been paid by the due date, the registration will be cancelled. But if you still want to attend the workshop, you can always sign up again.
